We are just ending our summer program and will have 2 weeks off, before starting back up. Casta del Sol makes sure we have everything available to keep us young in body and mind. You just have to make yourself go and be involved.
Our summer program consists of all around fitness. Monday and Wednesday are for Aerobic Workout to promote healthy hearts and lungs. The instructor works us for 45 minutes with a small break to take in much needed water. This is done to music, making sure to move all parts of the body. She finishes with 15 minutes of stretching and cool down time.
Tuesday and Thursday are Body Sculpting for strength building, agility and balance. Leila, our instructor, works us for 45 minutes using weights in connection with balance pods, stretch bands and stretch tubes. We make sure to workout our arms biceps and triceps, plus do lunges and squats for our legs. Leila takes the time to walk around and make sure we are doing the exercise correctly, so we don't hurt ourselves. We end the classes on mats for push-ups and leg lifts to round out a full body workout.
Friday’s class is the best because we get to do 60 minutes of stretching the muscles that we worked so hard on all week.
Some days I have to force myself to get ready and go but I am all ways glad I did.
